About GBH Big Band...
GBH Big Band is made up of professional musicians from the Bath, Bristol and Wiltshire regions. Over a quarter of a century the band has evolved playing both standard big band repertoire and more ambitious projects such as Ellington's Nutcracker Suite, Stravinsky's Ebony Concerto and Paul Hart's Concerto for guitar and jazz orchestra. They've performed the UK Premiere of Nils Lindberg's A Christmas Cantata with Cantamus Chamber Choir and Ellington's Sacred Concert with massed choirs and Tina May. Their legendary Christmas gigs are a highlight featuring international star Claire Martin, the amazing Georgina Jackson, the fabulous Emma Smith and British jazz aristocracy in the guise of Iain Ballamy and Jason Rebello!.
